Meet the ChrisFit Trainers
Lauren Ciurzynski is an American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer. She has dedicated her life to fitness and health. Through middle and high school she competed as a varsity athlete in cross-country, swimming and track. She also danced for 17 years, and completed her first full marathon at age 18.
Her passion for fitness led her to completing her Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Sports Studies in less than three years from D’Youville College. During her time at D’Youville she continued athletics by joining the crew team. As a collegiate athlete Lauren gained the title of MVP, set the 2k-school record and acted as co-captain in her senior year. Lauren is looking forward to the upcoming fall season when she steps in as assistant crew coach. Laurens future plans include becoming competitive in bodybuilding, becoming New York State certified in massage therapy and working towards her MBA, while continuing to learn all she can in the field of fitness. Laurens passion, knowledge and creative spirit will help you achieve all of your health and wellness goals!
As a personal trainer, I grew up loving sports and fitness. In high school I swam competitively, and in college I competed in everything I could, from badminton to martial arts. I even tried my hand at learning parkour. But I also know how much hard work the act of challenging yourself to becoming fit can be. Training for and competing in triathlons, 5k-10ks, and exceeding personal records in the weight room has taught me that accomplishing one’s fitness goals is not always easy. I try to make exercise challenging but fun at the same time, to make these goals easier and more attainable.
I graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and a heavy concentration in exercise science classes. I went on to become certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a personal trainer (CPT) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). I am also certified in CPR/AED.

From an active childhood to high school baseball, exercise was a part of my life from a young age. In my early 20’s, I was introduced to resistance training and bodybuilding. That is when consistency, structure and dedication really took root in my life.
The passion grew, and in 2002 I competed in the Northern States Super Natural bodybuilding competition, finishing 2nd in my weight class. A couple of shows and a couple children later, I had remained faithful in my health and fitness journey. Soon, friends and family were asking me for advice and seeking help from me. With the opportunity to repay what good people, role models and training partners had shown me in my life, I started my personal training career.
Since 2008, I have enjoyed working with a wide range of clientele. In 2013, I became AFAA certified and joined the ChrisFit team, working out of the Lewiston location. With the opportunity to be a part of your journey, I will be committed to help you in any way I can. Together, we will come up with a plan that includes effective strategies that work best to help you achieve your goals.
